First Mauer's down, now Mike Redmond (http://minnesota.twins.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20090406&content_id=4143110&vkey=recap&fext=.jsp&c_id=min).

It would be a crying shame if he missed this weekend. Twins backup catcher Jose Morales has a grand total of four MLB at-bats.

I don't care how early it is in the season, all divisional games are important so any advantage we can take is welcome.

On a side note, it was weird seeing Joe Crede in the retro Twins uniform last night. :o:

He goes 7-10 in our series with 2 home-runs then, yes?

Since we haven't seen these jersies being used in say, 25-30 years, I guess it's not as strange as it will be to see Crede in those terrible away, gray pin-stripes.

Were those throw backs or are they going back to them? Actually I like those unis a lot.

Crede layed out for a ground ball that squeezed between him and whatever "jason" is playing short. I cringed for his back on that turf

That linked article is hot garbage. It all but states as fact that Jim Thome hit Redmond in the head with his bat on purpose, and that Branyan also "targeted" him yesterday. What a bunch of bull. Maybe Redmond needs to learn how to set up better.

They are wearing them for Saturday home games all year long according to this press release (http://minnesota.twins.mlb.com/news/press_releases/press_release.jsp?ymd=20081124&content_id=3690037&vkey=pr_min&fext=.jsp&c_id=min).

I refuse to think that Thome would hit ANYONE in the head with his bat on purpose.

I guess the press release should have indicated the retro uniforms would be worn every home Saturday game plus Opening Day. :?:

I imagine the Twins will probably go with a new "old" retro feel when they move into their new ballpark next year. I agree that these unis look pretty good so maybe that's the direction they will go. I would be surprised if they kept the current uniforms as I think they are getting a little long in the tooth and are due for a change.

I don't care what unis they wear as long as they get out of that Dome pronto. What another "crappy" baggy dome win...

You beat me to it soltrain21. No name Twins players always are scary. He'll go 7 for 10 in our series and then hit .100 against the rest of the AL.
