Yep! Two more year left on his contract. But, Paulie is a good guy. He said that he would waive his no trade clause if it would help the White Sox.

He also hit real well toward the end of last year and in the play-offs, so I'm hoping last year wasn't proof that he's running out of gas. It would be a sad way for the longest current tenured Sox player's career to end here.

I agree, I think he was just pretty banged up in the beginning of the year. I think he'll bounce back, while I think the days of 40 HRs are gone, I think he could hit .280 with 30 HRs.

As they age, sluggers typically (though not always) hit more homers as their batting average drops. Paulie's average has dropped the past two years from his career high in 2006 (and his 2007 .259 was lower than his 2004 and 2005 averages). Just a hunch, but I think he'll hit .260 with 35 HRs this year. My bigger concern is with his OPS; I expect .850.
