Tony Gwynn Jr. cleared waivers and assigned to Milwaukee AAA. Why not trade Owens for Gwynn Jr. Give both guys a new start. I would give Gwynn a chance in the minors. He is coming off a shoulder injury.

Not sure why there were rumors that Pods was going to sign with the Brewers. They have enough OFs.

He cleared waivers, which means the Sox could have had for some cash. Why would they trade for him now?

Don't they have to give a roster spot for a player claimed off waivers?

Anyways, Gwynn Jr. was assigned to Brewers AAA. He isn't very happy and would like to try to catch on with another team. I think that he wouldn't be bad in the fourth outfielder spot right now (better than Owens). BA definitely deserves the CF job right now.

Gwynn bats from the left side, has some speed , solid defender. Has played LF, RF. Only 26 years old. Would rather seem him gets some ABs than Owens (been there, done that).
