They're redesigning the pages at B-R.com, I guess to be more interactive. I guess I'll get used to the new layout if it makes them easier to work with. You can check out what the 2008 White Sox page will look like here: http://sandbox.baseball-reference.com/teams/CHW/2008.shtml

It's a little tougher to read though, one of the great things about the current BR is the ease of reading. It's a very simple, but effective layout. This new one kinda looks amateurish.

I don't care how it looks, I use B-R.com all the time. It's an awesome website and I love that they've added minor league stats!

I like the layout of baseball-almanac.com better. Too bad it doesn't have the ammount of info that Reference offers.

"I loooove Baseball Reference"

Seriously though, that is an awesome site. It's really cool how you can sort statistics on there now, too. I sorted through the all-time team wins stats, and it seems that the Dodgers and Cardinals are gearing up to join the 10,000 win club this year. The Dodgers need just 40 wins, and barring a cataclysmic season from the Redbirds, they need 71. Yeah, yeah, I know, useless stat, but I just enjoy looking up little nuggets of information on there like that.

Easily one of the best sites for a baseball fan. I can't count the number of hours I've spent just following the trivia and history down the rabbit hole. 1982 Astros? Warren Newsom's career splits? Teammates of Lance Parrish? Bring it.

Lawl.

I have like, eight Lance Parrish baseball cards, all from 1980-1986.

I wonder how much I can make....

I think the grid lines make it a lot more difficult to read. The simple stacked columns made B-R super easy to read by just glancing down a column or row of stats to find what you were looking for. The lines give your eyes something else to be distracted by.

If being able to sort by category means they need the grid lines, then so be it, but if there were a way to sort and not have grid lines, I'd say it would be complete baseball fan heaven.

Definitely. If you could take out the grid lines I'd be a lot better. That's my only beef.

Anyone out there sponsor a player's page? A buddy and I are the proud sponsors of Cy Acosta's page.

No, but I have thought about it. I just cannot think of a player to do it for, or a real reason to do so.

They've completely made the switch to the design.

Oh wow, I didn't notice this before but now you get the CSV code for a lot of their tables. OK, that is excellent.
