I found a cool site where you can post your preseason predictions and they rank you based on your accuracy at the end of the year.

Here are my White Sox.
Hitting:

Pitching:

We should have a contest to see who is the most accurate among us board members.

You took optimism to a new level. :)

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that Buerhle has a great year and wins us 20 games. But comes in fourth in Cy Young voting behind John Danks, Gavin Floyd and Jose Contreras who win 30, 29, 25 respectively. :redneck Why the hell not? Hope springs eternal!

Agreed....266 HR's as a team?

Quentin hitting .329 with 48 HR's, Josh Fileds over .300?

I thought the 993 RBIs with the team scoring 923 runs was more, uhh, interesting.

Wow. Contreras with a 1.57 WHIP but somehow managed to keep the ERA under 4. LOL.

Wow. Does not compute. Just to recap some of this....

In all of MLB last season, there were only two players who had an OBP of .440+ - Pujols and Chipper Jones. He has us having 4, two of them being Getz and Fields. :o::D:

For Getz to have 161 hits and 61 walks, and get on base at a .440 clip, he would have to be hit by a pitch at least 48 times (that's including 0 SF). :D:

He has Quentin having 620 at-bats, plus an additional 114 walks and getting on base at a .513 clip, which would be the 13th best season in the history of MLB! But, for that to happen, Quentin would have to be hit by a pitch an incredible 120 times in 2009. :D:

Well it appears we are winning around 125 games or so.

So I have some tweaking to do. I know Ramirez won't have a OBP over .330 and I have him at .375. I like the concept of the site though. I'd like to see some of you critics predictions. ??? Why haven't you posted yours??? We'll see who is more accurate at the end of the year.

Damn, I thought putting the smiley in there made it friendly...I guess not. I might fill it out later this week when I have more time, but if you're going to post overly optimistic stats, expect some critics.

I signed up and started to do it, but it seems too complicated and tiresome, so I'm taking a pass for now.

Aww..we're just poking your ribs a little.. All in good fun!

I don't know if I have the attention span to fill out all the predictions, so kudos to you!
