Nationals must be thrilled.

In keeping with the theme, Julian Taverez isn't exactly Brad Pitt. I'm guessing the Nationals feel pretty much the same way.

I can't understand what he's trying to say. The english is fractured a bit.

I can't understand what he's trying to say. The english is fractured a bit. :scratch:He's saying that an offer from the Nats is sort of like the not-very-attractive person in the bar at closing time. You have no other options left, so it starts to look pretty good.

Ok, now I understand. I was confused because he says, "when you go to a club at 4 in the morning," and I thought he was referring to a baseball club.

That is a smack in the face to Nationals fans. I'm guessing he won't get cheers his first appearance in April.

With that attitude, do you think he'll be appearing in April?

Probably. I don't think their starting rotation is strong, so he'll probably end up appearing sometime in the early season.

It's hysterical and I love the honesty like someone said earlier. However, if I were running the Nationals and had ANY dignity, I'd let him go immediately. And I'm sure they'd be able to legally let him go without having to pay him a penny (if he signed a guaranteed contract) since he is degrading the team and the product that he's supposed to be representing. This right here one of the Nationals Marketing Department's worst nightmares; a player on the team saying the team is as bad as it gets!

This is what the Nationals get for hiring the utterly incompetant Jim Bowden as GM... and then keeping him on for as long as they did.

I think he means a 200 or 300 pounder. Six hundred pounders can't go clubbing much.
