Pitching in Arizona

It figures that the day my authentic Danks jersey comes in the mail he gets rocked. Oh, well.

This got me thinking though...how many of you are surprised at how well the Sox have pitched in the cactus league so far? Typically we watch box scores come in that resemble football scores, and we shrug it off, claiming that the ball doesn't move in that dry air like it will during the season. It's quite refreshing to see.

I'm pretty happy with the way the Sox have been pitching, but I'm not necessarily panicked when somebody gets rocked. Especially when it's a proven guy who is a lock to make the team, like Danks, who could be working on something or, in this case, not wanting to show a division rival everything he's got. But for the guys fighting to win a roster spot, it's refreshing to not have to pick amongst the tallest midgets.
