I couldn't help but laugh when I read the title of the article:

If those 2 can give us a combined healthy season at 1 spot in the rotation I'd be happy. Then we would just have to hope that 1 or a combo of Marquez, Broadway, and/or Richards gives us a decent season at the 5 spot and we would be in good shape.

That is not why I was laughing. Read the title of the article. It could have been phrased better. It seems more llike a medical diagnosis.

My colon is healthy, but I haven't had my contreras checked in years.

If those two guys can stay healthy and pitch decent, we will be a team to be reckoned with once again.

As far as the title goes, I didn't know people had a Contreras on their bodies.:redneck

Contreras could be huge the last half of the year. IF Colon can be a surprise and pitch well as a 4 all year we would be very competitive. Our top three (assuming last year wasn't a fluke) are very strong.

Edit: Contreras feels healthy enough to start right now? Where the **** have I been?!? Contreras and Colon are a solid 4,5.

Good to hear about your colon. You're contreras is probably working well, to the point like it's 37 years old again, but it really may be 52.

I read the first part of the thread title and the which said "Guillen: Healthy Colon" and the first thing I thought of is the White Sox and or Guillen need more fiber in their diets.

Edit: Just saw Tornlabrum's post.

I thought it was because they put "Sox's".

That doesn't look quite right.

I know how they check my colon - and I don't like it.

How do they check my Contreras?

I'll join the chorus. I also read it as colon as in -oscopy, until I saw the Contreras part.

I still don't think it's as good as the Trib headline in 2003: "Sox make splash with Colon"

I'd be shocked if these guys are both ready to be in the rotation and pitch effectively anytime in April.

I'd be thrilled - but shocked.

I agree. I think Colon is likely to be healthier than Contreras, but the only way we're getting a healthy Colon is if they start serving big bowls o' fiber at the Cell.

Very very funny TornLabrum. That's one of the reasons it's so much fun here(fans like you). I would change my name if it was Colon:redface: I remember a name like yours, do you remember me...awesomefan?

As far as Contreras and Colon, I can hope for the best. I do not have high expectations. If they do have enough to put one good season together, the Sox will be the team to beat in the Central. But that is a mighty big if.
