Wow, I thought there would be a lot more discussion about this here at WSI. Good move for the Trolley Dodgers. I wish Kenny would have done this deal.

I think we'd all resigned ourselves to the fact the Sox weren't doing any shopping of the infield sort.

This deal totally sucks for us. We lose out on the Dodgers 17th pick and now will get the A's crappy second rounder. O well. Cabrera thought he was tough ****, but turns out nobody else thinks so.

Huh? Are you confusing your Orlandos?

No. He is referring to the report of the Dodgers being interested in Cabrera earlier today.
Now the only team with interest is the A's.

I know this has been obvious for a while, but this pretty much means that Getz will be the opening-day second baseman. Ho-Hum.

Do you prefer Donnie Hill, Julio Cruz, or Wilie Harris???

Hill can probably still swing the bat fine at around 50 years of age. :D:

Yes, I did know that. There's a difference in what you know will happen and what you wish would happen.

A lot of incentives in the deal, but how often does a deal actually hit all of its incentives? I would have done this deal in a heartbeat.

Huh. That's pretty shocking how cheap they got him. I figured he'd just end up waiting till mid season to sign somewhere.
