Willie Harris hit 13 home runs last year? Where the hell have I been, and how the hell did that happen?

"Willie Harris" is in play for 2B this season. I think that one of our three guys can come close to what Willie produced last season.

He'll have to fight for playing team this year. OF is too crowded and Nats have a bunch of youngsters for 2B, Anderson Hernandez probably starts the season at 2B.

I think one of those homers was a grand slam off Neal Cotts last summer.

Yes... He actually hit 2 HR that game.

I went to a few Nats games last year. One game, Willie hit one out early in the game. Throughout the game, he was the only offense for the Nats. Later in the game, down 2 runs and he is up to bat. My friend says, "If he hits one out now, I'll cook him dinner." Two feet below clearing the fence for a HR. As it was, he tripled. He displayed quite a bit of pop all year, while playing at 2b, LF, and CF. If we were not so logjammed at 2B already, I wouldn't mind seeing him re-signed.

Better baseball player in every way than our presumptive leadoff man. When Ozzie has a bug up you-know-where about you, you get sent away.

That's not saying much.
We don't need Harris on this team at all.

we don't need Willie, beside he's in the NL so stats will raise for hitters

Of course it's not saying much (about Willie). Both of us are saying a lot about the guy we're comparing him to.

Why?

Why?

The pitchers get tired because they have to bat, so it is easier to hit off them?

Pitching stats will be slightly inflated in the NL. I'm not sure why you're convinced hitting stats will be.
