This move perplexes me by the Rangers, are they planning to move Hamilton or Jones to right or left if Jones makes the team?

Amazing how far he's fallen off that he has to resort to a minor-league deal.

That's what happens when you show up to camp fat and out of shape.

It doesn't matter what he gets paid by the new team. It will only be deducted from the money the Dodgers are paying him.

Maybe so, but the upside could be enormous. If not, Andruw will fade into oblivion.

How does the 1mil of incentives work?

Do good, make money. $1,000,000 to be exact. :D:

I have no idea. Since it won't be due until the milestones are met or even at the end of the season, it might end up being a bonus on top of regular pay. I cannot say for sure.

I know how incentives work. I was referring to the point Voodoo made about any money he is paid this season will be deducted from his contract with the Dodgers. If that is the case, Texas giving him an extra million is a waste of their money unless incentive bonuses are an exception to the rule.
