Just click the "Collection" tab at the top. I'm still in the process of updating it, though it is almost complete. I'm also trying to figure out how to do one of the virtual tours, so I can do one of my Sox memorabilia room

The site is still under a bit of construction, so a couple of the links aren't yet active.

Why does the Floyd Bannister autograph say AL east champs? Did he forget what division he was in?

I don't believe the AL Central existed yet. Just the AL West and East. I have a auto from Jerry Hairston that says the same thing.

Just checked, and mine says West. Looks like I should have read his whole post a little bit better, lol. I guess he just wasn't sure which division they were in back then, lol.

I like all the World Series press pins. I have the one that looks like it was intended for '83, or at least I think it's the same one, it's been in a box at my parent's for a couple of years now.

Hey folks, just a reminder. Please don't post lots of pictures in your posts. It slows down load times for everyone and people who are still on dial up get seriously screwed.

Just post the links to your photobucket uploads or upload them to the WSI Picture Gallery and then post links.

Thanks.

Kruzer, I would appreciate it if you would go back and edit your posts and replace the pictures with links.

Great Collection. One question and a comment -

Comment -

I'd give an appendage for an old Comiskey Park seat. Nice get.

Question -

Which edition of the Tribune did that World Series full page ad/spread appear in? I had forgotten all about that one, as I did want to get that framed to hang next to my framed Tribune cover from the day after the win.

Great stuff you have there....

Which full page ad are you talking about? I have a few extras of the various pages around still.

If your talking about the Believe It! full page, it was Thursday, October 27, 2005. I have it framed on the wall as well having the full Tribune from that Thursday.

JKrohn and 55 - Thanks. I have the Believe It' page already framed. I should have been more specific, sorry. I am talking about the all black page with the flying sock superimposed over the WS trophy. I don't think that page spread was in the Trib the day after the final win.

Yep. That's it. Anyone know what date/issue that was printed? I'm 98% sure it wasn't from the 10/27/05 edition.

Also, I'd love to have the congratulations ad from the Cubs. It was beautiful. It was a full page ad with only the red sign with Congratulations White Sox. That too, deserves a frame.

My uncle gave me one of those banks as a gift, but I haven't been able to find any info about it. Does anyone know anything about them?

My uncle gave me one of those banks as a gift, but I haven't been able to find any info about it. Does anyone know anything about them?

They were made in the early 50's by Gibbs-Connor as part of a series of bust razor banks featuring Major League teams. The company went out of business around 1957. The old razor blades were double edged and very dangerous to discard. Several porcelain companies made banks to put the old blades in to prevent injuries to youngsters. Not sure of the production numbers, but I'm confident that not too many were produced as the project was scrapped. On some of the razor banks that we've had, the message on the back is clearer. The message on the Chicago White Sox razor bank reads "Keep used razors in this well… So little Sox won't hurt themself". The message is pretty much the same on all these type banks. That what I know. If you want more information contact Lou at sharlou28@aol.com or check out this site http://www.insidetheparkcollectibles.com/

It's almost impossible to read, but I can see the impression of the word "Sox."
