Crap. Everyone knows the best source is firsthand, directly from the mouth of the person who said it. The next best thing would have been to ask Kiley what he thought Wood meant. Other than that to make the leap Mariotti did he needed to have a follow up question for Wood. That would have taken time but at least it would have reported truth (whatever that is).

He's trying to make himself the victim and divert attention away from the true matter. You may work hard Jay (even though I doubt any reporter actually works hard). However, you didn't work hard on this occasion and you were egregiously incorrect. Take your spanking and be better next time.

This piece is merely propaganda written by an obvious shill for Moronotti, and was probably even instigated by the Moron as part of his frantic attempts to salvage his reputation.
He started it by ridiculing Morrissey's columns. Morrissey shows his class by refusing to comment at all, thereby refusing to encourage the Moron's pouty little snit.
