Santana, Maine, Pelfry, Garcia, ?
Wonder whom #4 or 5 will be pending on where Garcia ends up, if he actually makes the team

Better them than us. Having two injury-bugged pitchers trying to come back at once is pinning your hopes on a too many miracles.

Don't forget Contrares trying to come back eventually too. He's making a lot, so he'll get a chance at some point.

I am beginning to think the White Sox see more in Colon then I originally expected. At first I thought they were signing him to fulfill a veteran role with no great expectations. If this was the case though, why not Freddy? Perhaps the Sox see something in Colon that they didn't see in Freddy. Or perhaps I need to stop drinking cool- aid.

I see what you're getting at. I see in Colon a contract that can't escalate close to $10 million. I don't see that in Freddy.

That is what I meant, I just left out 'already' having.

I had a feeling we wouldn't get Freddy after we signed Bartolo Colon. The Sox must feel more confident in Bartolo having a bounceback year than they did about Freddy.
