I was at this game in 1982 and I will never forget it.
Dan Kennedy a professor at Northeastern University in Boston writes about it better than I could.

I actually remember when this happened. They were playing the White Sox, and I was listening to the game with my dad while we cleaned out the garage on a saturday afternoon. I think it was Lorne Brown who mentioned what had just happened. I also remember seeing that picture the next morning in the paper.
