I think I know what we all want to happen, but what do you think really will?

The very thought of facing Prior, the best MLB pitcher ever, and the Pirates forfeit.

In true cub fashion, I think Prior will light up the world this year when it is too late to help the team. Then next year he'll blow out his arm, leaving all the long faced scrub fans staring at the ivy waiting for the season to be over and bring an end to their misery.

Prior will throw 81 pitches all strikes. Every single batter will go down on 3 pitches thus giving Prior a perfect game. Prior will go 4-4 with 4 homeruns thus giving the Cubs the win 5 - 0. Shammy will hit a homerun and take a curtain call just so he isn't shown up by a rookie...

If he was facing the Sox in his debut I would say he would pitch well. But he is facing the Pirates, so he will go down in flames.

As usual the Cubs will rush him up, he will look good for a couple of starts, get overused by Baylor and end the season injured. He will return to have a couple of average seasons before the Flubs trade him for some washed up, old, used to be power hitters. He will regain his form and finally reach his potential and become a Cy Young winner. :D:

He will give up 5 runs in 5 innings. Write it down.

In a stunning move today the Cubs sent Mark Prior to the Sox for pitcher Brooks Kieschnick.

"I knew that Keeshschick kid would have some value."

"Hey, I need more veteran pitching to win."

I say he gives up 2 runs but somehow picks up the loss.

Well, you are right about the number of ER's Prior allowed.

Who would have guessed that Garland would have the better outing.
