Was there any real doubt that he would stay with the Phillies and probably finish his career in his home state?
To the OP--he doesn't need much gas in the NL. Besides, it's what his game was all about he never really brought that much heat. And if you're talking about in his tank--well, you don't need much to throw his softball stuff.

Parents, teach your children to throw left-handed.

He's never had any. He just hits his spots, moves the ball around, and gets outs.
I was just talking about him with a friend of mine the other night.
I remember when he was with TEX in 1990, and they brought him in to mop up a game at Comiskey. He was not good at all from 1988-1991.
He was so low on the second-chance list after failing with STL in 1991 that the horrible 1992 DET team kept him at AAA all year.
My hats off to him. He has 246 hard-earned wins and made over $68 million in his career. Who would have ever thought he would win 50 games?

He's gonna keep pitching 'til he's 50. I'm pretty sure of it.

Given the state of the economy, stock market and real estate market; teaching my son to be a left-handed pitcher is my retirement plan.

He's one year removed from an awful season. I hope they didn't pay him much.

that. would. be. AWESOME!!!
More 300 winners! More I say!
EDIT: If 250 is the new 300, then is Moyer only 4 wins shy of automatic HOF induction? Just asking.
