Apparently other teams knew he wasn't worth a damn off the turf, so I doubt there was much interest in him....

Nick ****ing Punto........God I hate him.

We should've given him $10MM and sent him to Kannapolis where he can't hurt us.

At least I can express my displeasure for him 18 times next year.

Ugh, the "magic wand" of Punto will continue to drop broken bat grenades just out of reach of our infielders.

Interesting...if you look at the comments section at the bottom of the page, it looks like Twins fans are just as unhappy with this signing as we are. I guess Punto must save his suck performances against teams not named the Sox.

Also, hidden in the comments, are Twins fans clammoring for a Joe Crede signing.

I think things will be different when Punto faces the White Sox in 2009. Especially since they're moving out of the pinball machine known as the baggy dome. He won't have the benefit of playing indoors on the carpet anymore.

Actually the twins will still be playing in the dumpdome in 2009. The new field is scheduled to open in 2010.

eh, the ground will be just as bad cause it'll be frozen til mid-June. I know it was a money thing, but what the hell were they thinking not putting a retractable roof on the new place? It's FREEZING there in April. They'll have to snowblow the field for opening day! (I'm serious.)

Maybe they can get their fans to shovel a la Lambeau.

Baseball and football are outdoor sports.

That's why you make the roof retractable.

I really hope Crede doesn't sign with someone in this division then pull a Magglio and get really good (though we all know Maggs is/was a better hitter than Crede has ever been).
