Don't know how accurate this is, and haven't even seen it discussed here, but at the end of this, it's interesting.

I think it's a very dry joke, either implying Nick Punto's hustle is false or overrated or, more likely, that movement for the sake of movement is ridiculous as is the rumor mongering going on.

Ah... got it... I didn't add comments but I wanted to say that I did think it would be a crap signing... so it would make sense it hasn't hit the wires yet :redneck

According to that Tribune article, KW claims most of the money that has been saved this offseason has gone to the Viciedo signing. KW, stop bull****ting us. You've saved about 20MIL this offseason so far, and unless your paying him all 11MIL upfront, you're probably only paying him 2.75MIL max this year. Sometimes his **** just gets old......

Would you rather him make it public what he's really using the money for (be it a big acquisition) and then lose out to that player because he wasn't under the radar

Well to hear KW talk yesterday, that money's making up for economy-driven losses in advertising and ticket sales.

But that could also be a smokescreen. We'll just have to wait and see.

When I read the thread title on the list of threads I think my heart stopped a bit. When I read the thread, I was back at ease.

But, if in some drug-induced signing by KW where he for some reason would sign Nick Punto, I would either 1) cancel my season tickets, or 2) boo Punto every time he came up to bat every game I would attend.

Punto signed with the Twins.

Thankfully.

Honestly though, I cannot belive that they actually gave him 8.5 mil for 2 years. 4.25 mil per year for Nick ****ing Punto???????!!!

My guess would have been 2 years/4-4.5 mil.
