He is not a very good pitcher, he did not get offered arbitration and no one seems to want him. Would he be an option for us?

Bold1) Correct. Hasn't posted an ERA below 5 since 2003.
Bold2) You know why? See Bold1.
Bold3) Sure, someone has to slam shaving-cream pies in players' faces since Toby is gone...

Wow, thats two in a row for me. Why are people just picking names out of a hat and saying "Why don't we give them a shot?" Ponson and Looper?? Come on guys! Why don't we just ask some guys to come out of retirement before we start asking about these awful pitchers. I don't think I would want these guys throwing batting practice!

Sidney Ponson knows how to throw a baseball. He's a guy with grit, with heart, a real grinder who plays the game the right way, and he knows how to win.

Give the kid a break. You have to think that a person that posts 4,000 times on a baseball website has seen Ponson and his ineptitude. It was a joke.

Considering some of the other transaction possibilities that have been thrown around here every off-season, is it really that hard to believe that this would be taken seriously?

Every now and then, a pitcher comes along. Sidney Ponson is one such pitcher.

There are plenty of high ranking judges in Chicago for him to punch... I like the fit!

I drove past his house when I was in Aruba. I don't think he needs the money.

I was in Aruba a couple of years ago and everyone (locals) I spoke to hated him and thought he was a joke
