These stick out to me cuz I was there lol.

-Quentin's 2 homer performance against Lackey and the Angels on Sunday Night Baseball, the 2nd one being a walkoff.
-Swisher's walk-off homer vs Detroit and that scumbag Zumaya.
-Play in Blackout.
-The game where TCQ hit the go-ahead/game-winning bomb against the TEX closer at the 'Cell and TCQ was so fired up and absolutely going nuts.

And of course, all the games of the '05 World Series.

For sheer 9-inning impact, I don't think any Sox victory has ever delivered more than the one-game playoff victory over the Twins back on 9/30. It's the first time the Sox ever played a do-or-die playoff game against another playoff team in the same straits. It was simply awesome to watch...

The prior evening's victory by Gavin Floyd over Detroit was pretty awesome, too. I just loved knowing Gardenhire and all his whiny bitches were pissed off heading to MSP International for a one-day visit to Chicago. They never did make it to Tampa. Sucks to be them.

Some great victories I've witnessed, off the top of my head:

- AJ/Dodgers walk-off
- 2005 ALDS Game 2
- 12-2 shellacking of the Cubs, 6/24/2005
- The 19-inning marathon win over Boston
- Joe Crede's walk-off against the Tigers, 7/24/2004 (http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/CHA/CHA200407240.shtml)
- 9-0 mauling of the Rangers, 5/27/2004 (http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/CHA/CHA200405270.shtml). Not that it was that good of a game, I just had a lot of fun at that one.
- 9/25/2005 (http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/CHA/CHA200509250.shtml). In the last home game of the season, The Sox beat the Twins on Fan Appreciation Day 4-1. Meanwhile in Kansas City, Grady Sizemore momentarily became my favorite baseball player of all time.

July 1, 1990 (http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/CHA/CHA199007010.shtml). The Baseball Palace of the World turns 80 years young. Andy Hawkins of the Yankees throws a no-hitter but the Sox still win 4-0.

Also of note - Ozzie Guillen actually drew a walk in the pivotal 8th inning.

Jim Leyritz made his first career start in left field that day, the day after he used amphetimines for the first time (http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2476681). He butchered Ventura's fly ball, allowing three runs to score. That's what I call justice.

Frank's 400th was great. It was half price monday against the Royals and the crowd was electric. I'll always remember that game.

Pablo's walk-off bunt (2006)

I remember this one! (http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/CHA/CHA200605220.shtml) It was also Big Frank's first game in Chicago in an A's uni. Wild, wild game. Frank hit two homers in his return and Jon Garland looked awful. Then the Sox started hitting doubles and clawed their way back into it and eventually to a walk off bunt. Great game.

I'd also like to mention the '05 Memorial Day game (http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/CHA/CHA200505300.shtml). The Jeff Brantley Game. The Sox blew a lead in the late innings and Brantley started ripping the Sox for poor bullpen management. Then Timo Perez won the game with a walkoff single.

While I'm at it, I've got two more from '06. AJ/Michael Barrett (http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/CHA/CHA200605200.shtml) game and the June 22 game against the Redbirds (http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/CHA/CHA200606220.shtml). The game featured a pitchers duel between Freddy Garcia and Anthony Reyes, Albert Pujols first game back from injury and Jermaine Dye making a game saving catch. Great game.

Best games I've attended:

1. Sox/Dodgers '05. Pierzynski walks off the Dodgers. Incredible.
2. Opening Night '06. Tears were flowing.
3. The game in '00 where Carlos tied the game up against Rivera in the ninth and the milkman drove Jose in to win.
4. ALDS game 3 '08.
5. Like DumpJerry said, there are tons of games in the next tier. It's too early to recall.

Of course all of the 2005 playoff games, but besides those the AJ walk off game vs. the Dodgers. I can't explain why it was such a great victory, but when he hit that home run, that was the loudest I have ever heard Comiskey at that time.

Also correct me if im wrong, but isn't that the game when "go go white sox" was re-introduced to this generation's White Sox fans?

One of my favorites that hasn't been mentioned... The 1st home game in 2000 after that 7-game sweep of Cleveland and New York. Kip Wells had a great game, Herbert Perry hit a 3-run homer... Man, that place was rocking.

Another game I was at that was great was in early 2002; the Sox had gotten off to a really good start and their offense looked unstoppable (Kenny Lofton was healthy and setting the table beautifully). Cleveland came in 11-1 and the Sox pummelled them to the tune of a 9-run 2nd inning, Chuck Finley got yanked in the 2nd and the Sox won 10-5. Thought they had something special that year, too.

Besides the games in 2005:

-Mike Caruso's home run at Wrigley to beat the Cubs in front of about 1000 remaining fans. That's was probably the most fun I had at a game at the time.

-Tom Seaver's 300th win. I was in the top row of Yankee Stadium. It was a pretty intense game.

My buddy ended up with Franks first homerun ball, I'm kicking myself to this day for being so damn slow.

Besides the obvious (05 playoffs), BLACKOUT was the best game I have ever attended.

Mark's no hitter was great. We had our kids there also, good memories.

Since everyone is going with the usual (WS, playoffs, Last season, Thome, Buehrle etc...) I'll throw out a few of my obscure favs that I have attended.

2001 vs. CLE Indians rally to tie the game at 8, Royce the Choice goes deep for a 3 run bomb in the 8th to win it. (I was young, but i remember having a great time at this game.)

2003 vs. Cubs Sox post a 7-0 lead, Cubs climb back in and draw within 1 in the bottom of the ninth. Billy Koch pitches out to nail Goodwin stealing and then closes out the game (Really fun in enemy territory, we were sitting in a great section of Sox/Cubs fans)
2003 vs. Cubs Jose Valentin walkoff in the bottom of the ninth. Very exciting.

2006 vs. OAK Big Franks first game back in the Cell. He hits 2 homers and gets 2 standing ovations. Sox come back and win it on a semi-suicide squeeze by Pablo Ozuna with two outs in the bottom of the tenth.

2006 vs. STL 20-6 game. 11 run inning. Just an all around exciting game. It nice to see a full fledged blowout every once in a while.

There are many many more games, and certainly ones that were more exciting for me (game 2 ALDS in the right field seats) but these games were a lot of fun.

I was at this game too! If I recall correctly, this was the game that lead to the Sox DJ being fired because he played 'Here I Go Again' while Finley was warming up. It was right after he was given a beat-down by Tawny Kitaen.

I'm going to go with a random game I was at that still is so great for me to remember. http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/CHA/CHA199806100.shtml

The White Sox were playing the Cardinals in 1998. Going into the bottom of the 9th inning the White Sox were down 8-4.

Albert Belle hit a 3 run home run to make it 8-7. (His second of the game)
Then in that same inning Robin Ventura hit another home run to make it 8-8!

Fast forward to the bottom of the 11th, Robin Ventura hits a walk off 2 Run Homer to win it!

I don't get to make it to too many games, but I had a real lucky streak going for a little while:

Pierzynski's walkoff against the Dodgers on 6-18-05
Crede's walkoff against the Indians on 9-20-05
Thome's 500th against the Angels on 9-16-07

Definitely the 3 most memorable games I've ever been to (with the Crede game definitely being #1)

a favorite game of ours was late in Ludzinki's career, he hts a HR in 1st AB, a grand slam in the 2nd AB, then a solid single in the 3rd AB, whereupon he's so pumped he flat out shocks everyone and steals 2nd right after the single, the old park went nuts for about 5 minutes on the humiliation of the night's losers

I've brought this game up a few times on WSI but in games I've attended the 1st game of the July 31st DH against the Royals in 1977. After taking the first 2 games of the series we came back to win this game 5-4 with 3 runs in the 10th inning after KC scored 2 runs to take the lead. Ralph Garr singled home the winning run after Chet Lemon had tied it up with a 2 run homer. That game gave the Sox a 6 game lead over the Royals. I've been to many games in my 62 years but I've never seen a stadium that went as crazy as Old Comiskey after that win, the noise level was above what Chicago Stadium used to get. It was happy insanity as more than 50,000 fans had the rafters shaking. KC came back to win the nightcap and many people say that if KC loses that game the Sox win the division. KC really got hot in August and the Sox faded. Those 1st four months of 77 are still the most fun of any Sox season I've seen. Since I moved to Florida in 93 I did'nt get to see any of the 05 season in person but I'm sure the Crede game was a great game to attend.
