I don't care if he missed the last month. He was the best hitter in the league, and our play down the stretch shows just how valuable he was.

Here's to eeking out a close vote. He deserves it. :gulp::gulp::gulp:

I really don't believe that there was one player in the whole entire leauge who was even close to being as valuable as TCQ was. It really showed with him out and I really believe he should win it, but I have this feeling its going to be either Youkolis or Pedroia

mlb.com has a preview. They mentioned seven players: Pedroia, Youkilis, Mauer, Morneau, Hamilton, and Frankie Rodriguez.

I think Quentin deserves top 3 still, but he won't be anywhere near the top because voters don't dig deep enough. The Sox would have been buried in April and May without Q.

I still think he should get it, but he won't. What a shame.

All I have to say: Morneau or K-Rod better not win it.

They were almost buried in September without him! If he doesn't get any first place votes, they should just stop handing out the awards. I can understand if he doesn't win because he missed September (I think it's a bull**** reason, but whatever, it's a reason). But if he doesn't come in the top seven...damn.

Well, there's always next year!!

His HR and RBI numbers were close to Pujols' numbers. His BA is well below Prince Albert, however.

If he keeps up his 2008 production in 2009 and remains healthy all season, he should get serious consideration.

Well, let's not compare him to Pujols, that man is just in a league of his own.

When it comes down to it, in the American League, there's no one that had a clear cut better season than Quentin, even while missing the final month.

Do I want him to get it? Absolutely. Should he get it? No.

Let us hope we are celebrating a MVP in Chicago tomorrow.

I think TCQ will get snubbed because he wasn't around for "crunch time". Most of these players getting consideration are part of playoff teams (or tie-breaker teams lol), and they helped in the push to the playoffs in September. I know games in September count just as much as in April and May, but try telling that to the voters. Out of sight, out of mind as far as they're concerned. If there was any justice, he'd at least be in the top 3. But it ain't gonna happen.

Don't read ESPN.com this morning.

Seriously, don't. Not even our reliable ally Pedro Gomez was on Carlos' side this time.

Whoever gets votes for this needs to watch more baseball.

Q finished 5th. No first place votes, and only one second place vote. What a joke. Only 17 points higher than K-rod? Please.
