When I went out to lunch today I was reading in the Detroit Press, that even though Detroit has a hole at SS, they do not see Santiago in there plans for 2009 as a starter. Tigers GM Dave Dombrowksi said he dosnt think Santiago can handle the stress of a full season. His only season when he was a starter was 2003 under Allen Trammel, were he batted .225, but off the bench in 2008 he batted .282 in 124 AB with 4 Home Runs (two of wich were in the same game), and he can play 2B and 3B as well were he played 21 at second and 6 at short. He's got a good arm and glove. Do you think he could be a possiblity at Second Base in 2009 since I know alot of poeple arent sold on Getz. And if so, could we send someone/something to Motown to get him?

I'd prefer him as a reserve and have Getz start personally.

If the Sox were to get him, he would take Pablo/Uribe's old spot on the roster. UT IF.
