I agree! I'm thinking we should set up that White House appointment with Obama for November or December of 2009 and we can bring along a certain gold trophy with lots of flags!

Isn't the trip usually made in January or February?

We'll make sure he gets his payment for Core of the Core to the Sox in time for him to join us for hot dogs and beer in Patio.

Has there ever been a President who was a White Sox fan before?

No I'm pretty sure all Sox fans are Gang Members and drug dealers, or alcoholics who beat up umpires...

No but a White Sox fan was once a heartbeat away...Dan Quayle, George Bush Sr.'s (notorious) VP, was a Sox fan. In fact, he attended the opening of New Comiskey while he was VP, wore a Sox jacket, and spoke in an interview with Hawk harrelson and Tom Paciorek of nights spent listening to Bob Elson on the radio.

Johnny:

From what I've been told in the past few months, the Sox will be working on making that happen.

Would Obama snub the Nationals and do the White Sox first pitch or would he do both?

Do you guys think if he was a Cubs fan and was seen today wearing a Cubs hat, it would get a lot more attention? I think it would get massive attention, from the local and national media. They would view it as an endearing character, it would be all over the papers, all over CNN, and even Fox. ... "Cubs hats are flying off the shelf this morning all over the globe, people wanna be like Obama".

Hopefully this kind of bias with the lovable losers will slowly disappear over the next couple years.

I believe Millard Fillmore was. There is also a story that Johny Quincy Adams has his Sox jacket stolen once while swimming in the Potomac.
