If Bob Brenly gets hired as the Brew Crew manager, is there a chance the Cubs would hire DJ to be Len Kaspers color comantator?

I think its where he belongs :D:

If DJ goes to the Cubs good for him but I think he will be a part of the FOX crew..

What's a "comantator?"

A genetically altered product from Idaho?

I heard he might go to MLB Network

Which might suit him better to not cover any one team in particular. He was better on Fox when he was on there mainly because he didn't have to walk on eggshells that is Hawk's ego.

Mainly because we'd have to worry about Lyons either making an insensitive remark or taking his pants off.

I didn't know Brenly was rumored for the Brewer's manager. When did this happen?

That would be really bad if DJ went to the Cubs broadcast booth. One of my roommates might kill himself, which would mean a quarter of my rent would no longer be spoken for.

It was reported on the Score today that he was interviewing for the job.

That would be probably the worst most annoying color team in all of baseball. No offense to DJ, but he has one of the most annoying homerun calls and Kasper's so high pitched it cracks my tv.

D.J. was always such a big Cubs/Wrigley Field apologist, so the job will probably be a perfect fit for him.

Grace is terrible at doing color. He is OKAY as a studio guy, and that's about it.

If DJ goes to the Cubs, I think Hawk might hunt him down and strangle him.:redneck

I can see this easily happening, and it probably would be a pretty decent fit.

There was speculation in the Tribune that Gracie burned his bridges to the Cubs with his harsh criticism of the Cubs' playoff performance this year.

If DJ goes to the Cubs, he won't have to worry about skipping out on any World Series parades........

It sort of makes sense. I mean, DJ played multiple years for the Cubs. If he announced for any team, you'd think it would be the Cubs.

He did come up through the Cubs' system and play four seasons with them (245 games). He played two non-consecutive seasons for the White Sox (177 games).

I think DJ will do just fine without going anywhere near the Cubs. Plus, I don't see him burning bridges with the Sox by spurning the radio offer and taking that job, which he'd certainly be doing. As far as I've heard, the speculation is he wants to work close to his family in Arizona, and the MLB gig would let him do that.

Besides, as long as the Trib is running things, they'd want a butt-kiss Cubs lackey, and I don't think DJ fits the profile.

Grace is the perfect example of the aforementioned profile. Sheesh, he does a pretty good job at that already on Fox without being paid...

I'm not so sure about that. Did you see the recent comments he made about the Cubs' early exit?

Macha is going to get the Brewers job. Brenly will just have to collect his $900k per year watching baseball games and talking stress free.
