The guy basically built the Brewers farm system. I expect him to do the same in seattle, since they should have some very good picks for the next 2-3 drafts.

It's a good hire for the M's, but I wonder if Howard Lincoln will stay out of his way. If he does, then he can rebuild that team in a few years.

Many M's fans think that the two most important people that should be fired but won't be are Lincoln and Armstrong. They don't know baseball and they consistently show it. We shall see if their choice for GM is any better than the last one they hired. I was hoping they would have hired Ng. That would have been a big change that would have shaken things up as they need to be in this organization. Only time will tell if the person they hired was the correct choice.

The veterans yes, not sure I agree on the young up coming talent unless they can bring in multiple players.
