Rays in 5.

I'm happy to say that I really won't care one way or the other who wins. It will be a nice World Series to watch. :-)

Rays in 7.

The Phillies are playing great, but so were the Rockies last year. The Rays came back from losing all of the momentum to win. I'll go with Tampa Bay in 6, but it will be really entertaining.

With Fox and ESPN, et al, likely being pissed this isn't a good matchup ratings-wise, I'm expecting an epic Series for the first time in years, a la 2001, 2002 or 1997.

Phillies in 6. Let's go, Phillies!!! Although, I wouldn't mind the Rays winning it all. I just want Philly to win it more. Now that Boston's gone, I can feel calm.

Rays in 7 worked for me once, so I'll go with it again. Plus, I really dislike Brett Myers.

Rays for sure, but I will wait to see the pitching matchups before I decide how few games.

I'll be happy for either team, but I want the Rays in six.

Not voting. But I'm glad I can watch the World Series since the Red Sox aren't in it.

I'll say the Rays in 7. I think this will be an entertaining series. We haven't had at least a six game W.S. in 5 years, and we haven't had a W.S. go the distance since '02. We're long overdue for a six or seven game series.

I'll be pulling for the Phillies, but I won't be upset if the Rays win.

One thing that's nice about this World Series is that a number of key players on both teams are home-grown, and came through their team's minor league organization, rather than being bought.

Are you listening, Hank? I doubt it, seeing as how your head is still lodged in your ass.

I said Rays in 6, but I think it could go 7. I don't see the Rays beating Cole Hamels.

I don't want to hijack this thread. But last year the Yankees didn't sign any FA from other teams. OK the market may have been soft. But they did hold onto Hughes and other prospects by not trading for Santana.

This year could be different since they didn't make the playoffs and have a ton of bad contracts off the books. But I think they will stay with their young players and continue developing their farm system.

They may resign the AP, Abreau, Mussina. But I don't think they'll sign CC, Lowe, Sheets or any other FA starters.

Rays in six. I think the extended layoff will hurt the Phillies.

I think the Rays have much better starters, but Philly has a superior pen. The city of Brotherly Love really needs a title, but I had to pick the Rays, for the fact that they play in a tougher division and league. Winning 104 games and having to beat the Yanks, Red Sox, White Sox, and Blue Jays to get there is an astonishing feat.

It should be a close, hard-fought and competitive series. The kind of baseball that should excite true fans.

It could go either way, but I'll say the Rays in 7. I think they're on a mission.
