Sox nominees include Alexei for ROY, Ozzie for Manager, Bobby for Closer, OC for defense, and Danks for performance.

I have to say I was rather surprised that Alexei wasn't in there for play of the year. I thought that was better than Iguchi's play a couple years back, wasn't it? :scratch:

That's what I thought, but looking at it now who is he going to replace on there? The 3 guys who had lower avgs than him had more HRs AND RBI's.

He was one of the best hitters in baseball this year, and better than a couple on there but with him missing September I think it's understandable why he was left off.
