Anyone else notice at the game tonight during the full lineup there was no Joe Crede mention? Even Contreras got a mention out there.

Did he indeed pack up and go home?

Joe who?

Joe's been pretty much dead to me since he started doing the Scott Boras shuffle, and I guess Kenny's sending the same message.

Ouch. The plot thickens. He was in the dugout though, wasn't he?

I don't know; but, I remember seeing him on the jumbotron at the game last Tuesday when they were showing camera shots of the postgame clubhouse celebration.

I didn't see him from in the stands or up on the screen.

Jose was down there but didn't come onto the field since he's probably on crutches. Quentin came out onto the field in full uniform. But Joe was nowhere to be found.

Yeah I did see him at Tuesday's game as well. I was glad to see he was there. For better or worse, though, he will probably not be on next year's team.

BTW, for those who were there, did Rick Hahn's kid get huge applause for throwing the first pitch?

Crede's name at least got a mention during the between-innings trivia contest by the Chevy Pride Crew. The jamoke that was chosen as the contestant made a fool of himself though.

First question- Who has the longest tenure of any player on the Sox. (Ans: PK of course). Contestant: Nothing.

Second question- Who was the starting 2nd baseman on the '93 Sox AL West Champions (Ans: Cora). Contestant: Nothing.

Third question- Who was the MVP of the 2005 ALCS. (Ans: Konerko). Jenn2080 behind me: Dye. Contestant: Crede

Fourth question- Who was the MVP of the 2005 World Series (Ans: Dye). Contestant: Dye

Fifth question (time runs out).

Worst performance ever.

Not surprisingly, he threw the ball closer to the plate than Javy Vazquez.

Also notable to me (I haven't been to a game in a while, so I don't know how new it is) - Crede t-shirts were on clearance at the stands outside the park. Clearly they don't expect to be needing them next year.

Yeah, that guy sucked. He was awful. I've seen little kids do a much better job.

Well, I guess that puts to rest the theory that they give the contestants the answers.

The way people spit out correct answers machine gun style, they have to give them the questions before hand. If they don't, I am dreading my jombotron appearance.

I read somewhere that he was going to see yet another doctor, last Wednesday. He still has inflammation in his lower back. I think IIRC that he was headed to Texas to see a specialist. If I can find a link to that info, I'll post it.

The things that I noticed during the introductions was that Quentin was in uniform, it didn't look like he had a cast or any sort of bandage on his arm. Contreras was announced, but was not on the field. No mention of Crede, and I took that as proof that he is not with the team.

The least amount of cheering for any Sox player seemed to go to Vazquez, actually alot of booing at him.

I got to the ballpark late and missed the intros.

But that is kind of classless to me if Javy got booed. We will need this guy at some point again this year if we pull this series off. Besides, he is here next year regardless of what many fans wish.

As for Crede, During the postgame celabration on Tuesday, I saw him sort of saying goodbye to Gavin, Gavin was kind of shocked. The camera's caught the exchange. I think Crede found out on Tuesday that he was not going to be penciled in to the postseason roster.

Yeah I actually read the question wrong. Thanks for making a point of that. Guess I am as stupid as the person who was getting questioned. Also if you noticed the video and the sound was ****ed up and he actually was answering.

Yes, I was disapointed to hear the boos for Javy... not a feel good moment on a great day. We will need him in the next series if we make it.And yes, he will be back next year.

Would you like me to delete my post? Vazquez bit the big one the last few weeks so **** him. I don't see anything wrong with showing your frustrations with some booing. At least for people like him.

He was! And the Tigers have already offered him $125 million for 5 years, I believe.

I was there and I thought that was bad. No matter what he did he is on our team and we were being introduced to the home crowd. I didn't expect riotous applause, but I felt badly for him about the boos.

ESPN Magazine claims Boras is a sensational guy, one that many of us would probably want to share a drink with.

This at least isn't as brutal as it was with Mags, Joe never really showed any consistent production for me to care.
Get rid of the fool and move on to someone else.
