Anyone else see a clip of the home made "W" flag a Sox fan made with two white socks foprming a "W" on a black background?

Pleased? Displeased? Amussed. Opine here.

stupid.. I thought great a Sox fan who feels the need to emulate the cub fans.
I give him credit on the design as original but the concept is not.

I saw it and thought it was cool that they played off of an old sox logo...that said I want nothing to do with any "W" flags....I am a fan of just a plain old Sox flag

No knock on the creator of this flag it was a good idea but I think it seems a little Flubsessed...

Points for creativity, but I'd prefer we leave that tradition to the north siders, along with other brilliant ideas like throwing home run balls back on the field.

I've seen different W style flags across the country.

I just want to know where I can get a blue "L" flag ?

I should have said a t-shirt with a blue L on it.

There's one flying above Wrigley right now.

I like the way it looked, but I will pass on waving or flying any w flags.

That's only for teams who celebrate losing on a massive scale.

Copying them lowers us to their level. Let's come up with our own traditions.

Why not have a flag that simply says "Sox Win!"

We don't need a flag to tell us when we win, we actually watch the game.

I should have said a t-shirt with a blue L on it.It's been said on here before, but apparently bears repeating: The Cubs "loss" flag is blue with a white L.

I saw the Sox flag, I thought it was a great idea. It would be funny to have one outside my house to mock my neighbor, he always has the W flag flying.

theres been a thread on this. That flag is actually one of our logos from the 40's. I almost bought a hat with it 5-6 years ago, back when the Sox Clubhouse Store was in Oakbrook

If you saw the flag, not really. It was reminiscent, but not exactly the old "crossed socks" logo.

Like the dumbass in Minnesota that threw back Jr's 611th homerun, when it could've netted him $1000 according to the Score.

Liked the logo, but that is a Cubs thing. I dont think we need to emulate anything the northsiders do.

the use of the flag, yes. The design on the flag, no.

I'm sure it was all designed on the lame "W" flag. I doubt whoever made that sign is familiar with 1920's style White Sox logos.

Anyways, any emulation of the Cubs is super lame.

I have to agree with other Die Hard types already posting on this topic.

The only thing I hate MORE than a Cub fan or Cub 'tradition' is some poser Sox Fan wanna be who try's to co-opt Cub traditions or force feed integrate them into MY BALL PARK.

Keep your WAVE, keep your stinking FLAG, keep home run balls don't act bush league and most importantly keep your arse outta my way you are in my ballpark on sufferance.

I give the person props for originality and creativity in the DESIGN as has been stated but a big fat HELL NO to the concept.

I really want them to sell a nice blue L flag so when my cub neighbors can see it hanging when they go out to get the newspaper when their team chokes.

That Black and Silver Municipal flag is badass. Nice job!

If we're going to keep this blackout going and have fun, why not set a tone for death:

I should have said a t-shirt with a blue L on it.

I saw a kid walking down the street before the first Cubs game wearing a blue shirt with a big white L on it, and he was wearing a Sox hat.

It was funny going to Meijer this morning and seeing most people wearing Sox and Bears stuff and being upbeat and excited, while the few people with Cubs gear looked like someone just ran their dog over.

That take on the Chicago flag IS awesome. I'd buy one of those. Another alternative would be to have the Sox logo instead of the stars. Just a thought.

Nah - the stars MAKE the municipal flag awesome. Probably why our 2016 Olympic logo is based off of them.

Hmm. I wonder, if Chicago gets the Olympics, will they add another star?I have heard rumors that Daley has planned to already. I wouldn't doubt it.

EDIT: According to Wikipedia (I know, I know), someone in city counsel has proposed adding another star for the Olympics. It also says that adding a fifth star was proposed on several occasions.

They should've added an extra star when the White Sox won the World Series.

They should've added an extra star when the White Sox won the World Series.Maybe they were concerned about the future, what with having to add stars too often and all.
