Still no time I can find. I have no idea why they can't schedule the game time....it's almost 2 days away!

They don't know how many games there will be. The Phillies and the Dodgers can possibly sweep Saturday. There will be anywhere from 2 to 4 games on Sunday. All of the games are on TBS, so there will probably be a noon, 3, 6, and 9pm game if they are all played. So it depends.

I'd really like to see two sweeps in the NLDS so that the Sox and Da Bears are not competing on Sunday. That would seriously cause me a great amount of sorrows. :whiner:

This is October, and the Sox are in the playoffs. I know who will have my attention. :D:

Both of those game 3 series will be played on Saturday night. Are you saying Sunday start times wont be set until after those games? I don't think so.

It makes no sense not to set times now.

Well, if they all play it goes my time zones alone, it would be BoSox-Angels, ChiSox-Rays, BrewCrew-Phils then Dodgers-Scrubs. But say for instance the Phils sweep on Sat, then I think they bump the earlier games to try to have all the games in prime time. Right?

MLB shows there could be 4 games Sunday. TBS shows TV times for 3 games (2pm, 5:30pm, 9pm.) I don't get it.

Noneck
10-02-2008, 09:34 PM
Do they have another network to show one of the games, like Fox used to show games on FX? Maybe TNT?

edit: Actually I remember them using TNT last year when games overlapped. So there's your answer. If there are four games, then one of them will be on TNT.

All games will be shown, who cares where. They should set the times.

The Phils game starts at 530 on saturday, outcome of game wont be known until 8 pm at the earliest, no way they can jockey game times with less than 24 hour notice.

Why not? IMO, the arrival of Ike proved it can in fact be done.

Probably a safe assumption. They wouldn't have the only game on Monday played at 5:07 ET.

Kinda similar to last Sunday, I wonder how many Bear fans will be in Sox jerseys and leaving Soldier Field and head to the Cell either in the 4th quarter or right after the Bear game....would be cool to see the Sox jerseys on the Bear game!!

EDIT: I just realized the Bears were out of town. My bad.

I believe these Bears of which Manders speaks are some kind of professional football club who has taken as that nickname as a variation of Cubs. I understand that on Sunday next they are playing a professional football club from Detroit called "the Lions", an obvious reference to the team that so nobly allowed our Sox to win on Monday last.

Wear black regardless.

As long as the current forecast of cloudy holds. The sun comes out and all bets are off. Sitting in the sun, with 70 degree temps in all black will be uncomfortable for a lot of people.

Wear some short sleeves. 70 degrees is not hot at all.

Apparently you've never sat in the OF seats. There's zero breeze and 70 and sunny requires shorts. Blackouts are for night games......

I've sat in the outfield plenty of times. Most memorable hot experience was last year the game where they announced Buehrle was being resigned. I believe it was a Sunday. It was an absolute scorcher.

And if it is 70 and you can wear shorts wear a black t-shirt as well. Then when night falls have a black jacket/pullover/sweatshirt to put over your t-shirt.

Just wear black.

And by the way, I actually think all black looks pretty cool on a bright sunny day. Maybe that is just me. Last year for Mizzou football we played Nebraska and had a black out and it was a mid-afternoon game. Looked awesome on television to me and at the game it looked great too.
