Man, between staying up to watch the game + postgame interviews, surfing the message boards, and being too excited to fall asleep, I didn't go down until about 1:30 last night (eastern time). Then my kids woke up at 5:30 am. I am hurting for sure! It's worth it though.

Luckily, my boss isn't in today, so I don't have to kill myself at work.

I have a test in 1 hour and I'm trying to cram.

Haha, my boss and the rest of my department wasn't expecting me to be on time today. I was though. My throat is sore, but otherwise I feel great. I had a hard time going to bed last night because I was so pumped up.

Nah. Not dragging. This was nothing. The last two WS games, when Game #3 went to 2-something am here on the east coast; (and then I was up an additional two hours e-chatting and talking to fellow Sox fans on the phone) and then the clincher and hours of celebrating into the night, were much worse. I think I slept maybe two hours in a 48 hour stretch. But it was worth it.

My four year old woke me up at 5:20, but that's OK. I made sure he and his brother are wearing their Sox jerseys today.:D: As for me, I'm screwed. No way I get much of anything done today.

Agree on both accounts. I also have this frog-like voice going on that could make people believe I smoked a carton a cigarettes last night.

I can't say I'm dragging too much though. I was up at 6:30 to get on the road (to make class today), and I'm feeling OK right now (even though that's a little early for a college student). Although, I think the adrenaline is still pumping and my exhaustion may not hit me until this afternoon.

I was at all three of the last games the past few days and I am just worn out from the stress and excitement. Made it to work on time this morning, but I am pretty much locked up in my office with one big celebration hangover. Let's go get Tampa !

I was at the last three, too. I'm spent. I haven't eaten a meal that hasn't involved a bun since last week.

This morning, I was like: "Crap, I hate the world. This sucks, everything sucks when you have to wake up at 6:00 to go to your crap school..." And then I remembered the game last night and I happily got out of bed...

It's true that I was in worse shape the morning after the 2005 15 inning WS game. My daughter was only a couple months old then and still waking up at 3:00 AM. I don't remember what I had to do the next day, but I'm sure I slacked pretty badly on it.

Still, I am DRAGGIN' today!

Happy draggin'.

Definitely. I got to work 30 minutes late but that's ok. 4 games in a row will do that to you.

I think I'll accomplish more today than I have in the past three days. Today is the first day I haven't had a knot in my stomach thinking about that day's game.

I'm not dragging....yet. I'm still floating after that game. Although my legs do hurt from running to get to the game from IIT parking lot.

I just need to infuse more blood into my alcohol stream and I will be fine.

I am studying abroad in Rome this semester, so the game didn't get over with until 4am...then I had class at 8am....dying.

It's not the game that kills you - it's the drive back after - to Bloomington, IL.

Sorry, but I had to laugh when I saw your post. You're cramming for a test and on WSI?

Yikes!

Reminds me of Game 1 of the '05 ALCS when I had to drive back to Charleston (EIU)

Got home at 1:30am driving back to Peoria and got run off the Interestate (to the shoulder) by a semi on the way back. But, it was all worth it!

So far I've been watching replays and looking at pictures from last night. Not much work getting done here.

I agree. I'm still dragging a bit but I'll definitely get more done today than I have in the three previous days. I doubt I'll be as nervous on Thursday afternoon as I was for those three. At this point, we aren't even supposed to be here so the pressure doesn't seem as bad. Of course, once the game begins, I may change my tune.

these games have killed my productivity to the point where I had to do a bunch of homework late after I got back from the game last night. going to sleep at 6:30 am and waking up at 10 is just cruel.

although I guess what's really killing my productivity is wsi...

Couldn't get to sleep after that one. Wow. And the game was over by 7pm out here on the west coast. I am glad to have a "day off" from this so I can get rid of the nightmare on my desk.

...new focus is tomorrow.

Oh, god, do I not envy you! I did that drive many times from 2000-2004, and it not forgiving, especially at night when all you wanna do is sleep.

I'm feeling a bit groggy myself, but that's nothing a nice hot shower can't cure.

Me, too...
That's the only drawback about the Sox being in the playoffs...I will get no sleep for the next couple of weeks.
I work with a bunch of cub fans from Chicago, too, and they were even dragging this morning...
