Owens doesn't belong in Right Field or on the field at all. We need power from the RF, Owens doesn't even give us OBP. And how are we going to move PK and Thome in the same offseason? And who do we get?

I think that there will be at least two new names via free-agency in that starting lineup next year. Uribe getting signed as a super utility INF for a bit less money than he got this season. I don't think Getz is quite ready just yet. Give him one more year. 3B is going to get filled via free agency or a big trade.

Just my $2.

Michael Bolton (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0379114/): That's the worst idea I've ever heard in my life, Tom.
Samir (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0619651/): Yes, this is horrible, this idea.

Trade PK hopefully, and I could handle:

Figgins, Hudson, Quentin, Thome, Dye, Pierzynski, Ramirez, Swisher, Anderson

A Figgins/Hudson revamped infield sickens me. The Sox should be rebuild a good part of their line up next year in my opinion, and that starts with younger players. Both Hudson and Figgins are 30, and most of the lineup next year will be over that mark. Same thing with this year. I hate the idea, we need newer blood. I say a complete overhaul, keep Alexei and Carlos. Keep AJ and Dye. Maybe keep Uribe sitting around. Dump the rest, I'm serious.

If I'm way off my rocker, somebody please correct me. But I hate KW bringing in some band-aid players that will only be sucessful in a Sox uniform for two or three years tops...OC and Erstad come to mind first. We need to get some younger players..

What teams are going to supply us with this young, inexpensive, major league ready talent? Every team in baseball wants that, and the teams that do have it don't give it up nearly as often as what used to happen. Plus, what assets do we have to make these types of deals?

Unless Josh Fields puts up better than Ryan Braun numbers to over come his shortcomings on defense and Owens' shortcomings with a bat, this team would go about 70-92. And Getz would have to have stats similar to Ray Durham's time with the Sox to make this team a contender for a playoff spot.

And why is Floyd the opening day starter? What separates him from Danks?
