Great guy. Stressful pitcher to watch. Booed the player but will cheer the man. Stand up guy and anybody who's ever met him talks about what a true gentleman he is.

Here's a photo from earlier this year. During a rain delay he came out onto the tarp and re-created Magglio's pennant clinching HR. He got the fist pumps and everything. Slid into home at the end. Note the Magglio wig cap. I was at the game in the concourse and heard a ruckus from the field, ran out and saw him. It was great.

Mark Buehrle did that too with our former bullpen catcher Man Soo Lee until he was told to stop.

I wish TJ nothing but the best in his post-baseball days. It's too bad he had to end things with the injury bug plaguing him. Do the Tigers have any plans of retaining him for some position within their organization?
