Who was rejected and who will be at the dance?

I like what they're thinking but this is another ****ty system. Oh, for the days when you just sat outside the park, waiting for the box office to open. At least you knew where you stood and weren't subject to the whims of the man behind the curtain.

a lot of people have been campaigning for a ticket lottery, and well, you got it! Too bad this gives a bigger edge to the brokers!:o:

All they have to do is sign up multiple email addresses by paying some poor college student $10 an hour and they are in like flint.... I hope some of you guys get lucky (myself included), but I wouldnt hold your breath

A lottery is fine. People who didn't win will prefer duking it out on Ticketmaster (I still don't, especially when people have computer scripts [they have them for Ebay auctions, they have them for all 1st come/1st serve promo, no doubt they have them for Ticketmaster] or their inside methods to snatching up all the tickets). That doesn't mean the system is perfect though. First thing the Sox need to do is limit it to 1 entry per IP address. Every message board can monitor this sort of thing, I'm sure it's possible to only allow you to enter once. Scalpers probably find a way to abuse these things, but don't think that a ton of members here didn't try the same thing

4 out of 28 is not a good percentage. I am incredibly lucky I got Cubs playoff tickets. That had to be like 1 in 100 or something.

Still have not received an e-mail.

Same here. At first I thought maybe that was a good sign, but I would bet that I lost.

Also, for those who did get tickets, please state how many chances you had. I personally had 5 (one for me, my two sisters, and my mother and father) and they were all rejected.

This sucks...

a lot of people have been campaigning for a ticket lottery, and well, you got it! Too bad this gives a bigger edge to the brokers!

The brokers aren't worried about the 500-level tickets coming out of this program. The brokers need the higher margin tickets. There just isn't much profit in those lousy seats for ALDS games.

btw, I entered, and my wife entered and no dice. So 2 more in the no column.

I got 2 way up in 518 for the second home game. Ouch, my wallet.

Please get there, Sox.

I got in at the instant it was put up (refershing for about 1 min before 10am).

Got 4 Tickets for Home Game #2 Section 548 Row 21...not great seats, but I'm in there. I knew Game 2 would probably the hardest to get good seats for, but hey, that's because it's guaranteed to be played if they do, indeed, make it to the ALCS. Same game I went to in 2005 too, and look what happened at that game! :D:

$80 face value...ouch!

Let's go Sox, I want to see you play this game!

I got the chance to buy playoff tickets because of the Ozzie pack. I just entered for tickets and lost, but I won the chance for Brewers and Cubs NLCS tickets. I wouldn't go to either of those games, though.

Got in exactly at 10AM
2 in sec520 for game one
2 in sec546 for game two

I refreshed my page about 10 times right before 10am, and ended up getting timed out for a few minutes. Horse ****. Then I got in, and the security code was not working correctly, so I had to close and re-open. Once I finally got through (about 10:05), I tried 4 for Game 2, and didn't get it. Then tried to split them up and got only 2 (507). Game 1 was already sold out after that, so I got 2 in 106 for Game 3.
