Hmm, Two Chicago teams and one of them is a national draw. Does this mean we are going to have to follow the Sox on the computer?

As much as I hate to admit, that other Chicago team is a bigger postseason story than our beloved Sox this year. Now, if both teams make it to the WS, then the teams will be billed on the top line together, for obvious reasons.

But there isn't supposed to be night baseball at Wrigley

I'm thinking we would get like the 4:00 time slot. Obviously not the night slot with the Flubs and Bahstan being around. They'll probably stick the Phillies in the early slot like last year.

Most likely is my guess.

Especially if we end up drawing the Rays. Not a sexy national matchup.

Sox have a better record during day games than night games, so it wouldn't be all bad if that happened.

Angels have all but sewn up the best record and will get the WC in the opening round. Both the Red Sox and Rays are much worse during the day than at night. I say, bring on the day games...:D:

I prefer the day games anyway - especially looking at a Sunday & Monday most likely for round 1...

Fortunately, I work for some people who are Sox fans, so they would be the first out the door to watch the game. :bandance:

Lets just get there. Actually living in the Eastern time zone afternoon games would be OK with me.

Sox will play day and Cubs will be featured at night bank on it 100%!

Sunday & Monday? Are you talking about games 3-4 or 1-2?

the SOX games at The Cell (home game #1 and #2 *if necessary) will be ALDS games 3 and 4
which are tentatively listed by MLB as being played Sun. Oct 5 and Mon. Oct 6...

is there a scenario where we would open at the series at home?

I think Anaheim will host the WC
we will travel to either Boston or Tampa Bay... right?

Yeah. The Angels get the Wild Card regardless of whether they have the best record or not (which they most likely will, anyway). That leaves us facing a division winner with more wins than us, thus we have to go road tripping.

yes.... especially if our opponent is the Rays

They definitely would for the first two games at least. I wouldn't see LAA hosting a game before a game in Tampa.

You want night games, pray for the Red Sox to beat out the Rays for the East title.

The two featured series becoms Sox vs Red Sox and Cubs vs whoever.

If we beat Tampa and play boston in second round, we would have to have homefield advatage.

If that schedule on the TBS website is accurate we should be ok as far as avoiding day games. Game 1 would be at 7:30 either Wednesday or Thursday. Game 2 probably at 5:30 on Friday. Game 3 Sunday so it doesn't really matter the time. Game 4 at 4:00 on Monday. Game 5 at 5:30 on Wednesday.

This assuming that Red Sox/Angels series has the later game each day and goes all 5 games.

Is there any scenario where we would open at home?

Because according to this, we're at home on Saturday and Sunday for Game 3 and Game 4.

Correct, or am I missing something?

Wrigley Field, the home of day baseball, will not see a day game in the playoffs.
