Nobody has mentioned it all day, but Kris Honel pitched another nice game last night, giving up only 1 ER on 6 H in 6 IP. He had 1 BB to 5 K's and also had a WP and a balk. He picked up the win going to 3-2 and a 2.40 ERA.

The only thing keeping him from putting up really big numbers is his inability to go late into games. Haven't been able to find out if it's pitch counts gettinng him or if it's just fatigue or caution on the part of the coaches.

After his injury last year from throwing a lot of innings he is on a tight pitch count.

Thanks Daver. I kinda figured because his WHIP is very low. What's his pitch count? I would guess by his near 6-inning max, it is in the 80's.....
