:o:

Just incredible. I can't believe NO ONE was aware of this! It didn't cost them the game, as the Halos destroyed Detroit; but, still!

I suppose that can happen when you have a 15-game division lead.

I say AJ try to help us out by distracting the umpire during an important at bat for the Halos tomorrow night so this will be duplicated...It would HAVE to be AJ. :D:

A couple weeks ago during a Dodgers Phils game, I believe it was Andre Ethier walked on ball 5. I remember Jon Miller pointing it out, and they replayed the ab a couple of times, it was pretty funny.

If that happened against the Sox I'd be screaming at the TV or at them if I was at the game.

They were talking about this on XM Homeplate this morning. They said that when the count was really 2-2, Welke said "the count's 1-2, right?" and even Rodriguez said "yeah, 1-2."

When he came up for his next at bat, Welke apologized, and Rodriguez said "don't worry about it, it's my fault; I should know what the count is."

That's what I use my clicker for when umpiring, no matter if I'm behind the plate or in the field. You'd be surprised how much it happens at the HS level with umpires. Even worse is when people don't know how many outs there are.

Yep, two Sundays ago. I happened to be watching it when Miller mentioned it. ESPN didn't replay the at-bat immediately, but Miller mentioned at the beginning of the next inning that they had gone over the video in the truck. I rewound the DVR and watched the at-bat again, and there were definitely five balls.

Bad mistake, but not nearly as bad as when Colorado football got five downs.
