Apparently this was done so Boone would be eligible for the postseason if they make it.

I thought Boone wasn't man enough for Guillen.

You know, if Boone gets it (or got it, hopefully) together, I would much rather have him over Horacio Ramirez in the late innings.

If Boone is there mentally, he is a much better option than Horacio Ramirez. I am not a fan of Ramirez at all. I think he has a weak arsenal and should not be pitching close games in the 7th or 8th inning.

I'm just hoping that sending him down was able to send him a vital message.

I'm just hoping that Ozzie gets off of this lefty-lefty bull**** and puts the best guy out there to get 3 outs.

Left handed poo is still poo, regardless of the hitter he's squaring off against. The sooner managers realize this, the sooner baseball, as a whole, can recover.

Well, if there was a message, Logan did not get it. His ERA in those five games at Charlotte was 6.00. In his most recent outing, he pitched 2 innings, allowed 5 hits, and 2 earned runs.

He walked 6 in his 9 innings at Charlotte and struck out 7. He was about the same at Charlotte as he was with the Sox before being sent down. In other words, terrible.

Jesus Christ, he's up again? He sucked down in Charlotte too. It's obvious he hasn't really improved at all.

Ramirez has sucked with us, yet nobody's brought his name up for any blame whatsoever.

The problem with not playing match-ups is that there just are not many good relievers out there with track records that say they're good. We've got four on our team (Jenks, Thornton, Linebrink, Dotel) and that's a lot more than your average team has.

When you're dealing with middle-of-the-road or sub-par relievers you have to play the match-ups to give you the best chance of success.

Yep, but from his numbers at Charlotte it doesn't look like he's there yet.

9 IP, 10 H, 8 R, 6 ER, 2 HR, 6 BB, 7 K

His last outing he went 2 IP and gave up 2 ER on 5 hits, striking out one, but at least he didn't allow a walk.

I think Broadway is still with the team, probably in the clubhouse or at the hotel because I heard he is getting brought back up. I do agree that we need legs like Owens for when we have to replace Thome, PK, or Swish on the basepath.

I saw Logan pitch this weekend in Durham and he did a lousy job. This doesn't seem like a good move to me.

Also in the game last night, Armstrong, who is also mentioned in the article link as being called up, did such a poor job as catcher. He had two opportunities to tag out a guy sliding in from 3rd who missed the plate twice and he couldn't get it done! He looked like a little leaguer playing ball. It was embarrasing!
