We regulary have threads that feature the biggest busts, etc., but what about the most improved guy you have witnessed? Who was the guy that really showed nothing early in his career, but by the end, he had really surprised you?
The first guy that comes to my mind is Officer Karko. The guy improved his average over a .100 points from the previous year, and hit .174. Eventually, he would hit .240, and with pop, belting 20 homers once. He wasn't meant to be a batsman, but he worked really hard and wasn't the automatic out I always thought he he would be.
