The Playoff Elimination Thread

Now might be a good time to start this. The Mariners and Angels both play tonight, and an Angels win over Oakland plus a Mariners loss to the Twins (hopefully that doesn't happen) makes Seattle the first team mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. The next team on the chopping block after Seattle is Washington with an elimination number of 5.

In our division, the Royals have an elimination number of 13 right now and it's falling fast with 2-8 record over their last 10 games. They're not long for this world.

Seattle's hopes of winning the Western Division may end tonight, but their E# for the Wild Card is still 6, so they can't be fully eliminated from the play-offs until Thursday at the earliest.

My bad. Well, it's still not long then. They should be gone by the weekend.
