I found it amusing that during the rain delay, WGN showed the first night game at Wrigley. I wondered if WGN will show the 2005 World Series in a Sox delay. They obviously chose not to show the 2003 NLCS. I remember seeing the 1959 World Series during delays so often that I knew the scenes by heart.

Making it more interesting is the fact that Cotts served it up.

2005 baby!

He's now 2nd on the team in HRs with 11, one behind leader Lastings Milledge.

EDIT: The Sox have EIGHT players with at least 12 HRs.

Intentionally walked in the 8th, then scored on a bases-loaded double. :D:

It was pouring at Adams and the river at about 1:15.

People are intentionally walking Willie Harris?

Tied for the team lead! I never though I'd see the day where Willie Harris would have a 2 HR, 6 RBI day.

I don't have the exact date...but WGN did run the highlights of 2005 World Series during a rain delay. Best rain delay of my life. I check into this.

Tied for the team lead and close in RBIs. He could end up leading the Nasty Nats in both categories. :?:

One wonders whether the Cubs cursed themselves again by allowing Chris Chelios to celebrate a Detroit championship within the Chicago city limits.

Nice game for Harris today. Him having a career day has to piss the Cubs fans off a bit.

always been a big Wille fan...I know, I'm the one. Still he has played decently since leaving the sox and has made a ton of webgems this year.
On BB2Nite it is a running joke about how many times he has been featured.
Anyway...way to go ,Willie. Nice job today.

Funny, I heard a lot of media outlets stressing that the Sox swept MLB's worst team this week. I say it's funny because the Nationals have a worse winning percentage/record. Just annoyed me. Last night on sports radio Chet Coppock said 'oh yeah, the Mariners are worse than the Nationals, they're like on Eastern Illinois level'

We'll see. He's about to throw out the first pitch at the Cell.

Way to go Willie!

I love the quotes about how he felt kind of bad hitting it off Neal since he considers him a friend and they go 'way back'. Aww, 2005 Sox love.

I'm a Nats fan (They are my National Leauge team) and it was soo sweet to see them with the worst record knock off the Cubbies who are #1 in the N.L! I'm sportin my nats gear tonight fellas!

That's bull****. I would have been chanting "Detroit sucks" at Chelios. I'm not celebrating anything that the Red Wings did. I don't care if Chelios is a Chicago native.

Didn't the Wee one have a HUGE day for Atlanta a year or two ago? Didn't he go 6-6 with a bunch of RBI (I can't remember the number)?

To answer my own question, yes (http://www.whitesoxinteractive.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=90599&highlight=harris). And now the Wee one has two, six RBI games to his credit.

Because he somehow thinks that's "sharing it with Chicago fans".
The Cheap Shot Jinx hurt both Chicago teams yesterday.

Not to mention he parades it around with John Cusack and Eddie Vedder. Billy Corgan must have been bummed to have missed out at that. :)

Although I'm sure the real reason Chelios was back in town was to finally take down the Cheli's Chili signs hanging up on West Madison and empty out the cash register.

And I was there for that. It's one thing to see him get a lot of slap hits, another for him to get two homers.

Where did Willie Harris develop 12 home run power? He had like 2 in 3 years with the Sox.

Lemme 'splain it to you. When you play 2B as Willie did with the Sox, you slap the ball around and lay down bunts. When you play a power position like LF, as Willie does with the Nats, you need to put up power numbers. Willie is the Renaissance Man of baseball.

If I had a team, he could play 2B on it. I thought he could pick it and throw it at 2B. I owe you something for scoring the last run of 2005.

Did you guys realize that he is leading the nationals with 12 Homeruns. Congrats to him haha, hopefully Lastings Milledge doesnt have a powerful last month to surpass him!

PS: Rowand also leads the Giants with 12 Homeruns, kind of crazy how we have so many homeruns, and these bottom feeder teams wont even have a 20 HR guy.

That grandslam off Cotts this weekend was pretty solid. Two former 2005 White Sox going at it in Wrigley.
