Lets go A's

I was hoping Frank would had hit a 3 run HR

26 pitches for Liriano in the first.

Crosby got raped by the ump. That was Ball 4 by a foot off the plate and would have loaded the bases

if he's swinging the bat like he did against us last weekend
then no chance.

The A's already gave us 1 win...which was more than I was expecting...a win today is icing on the cake. If nothing else, I'm hoping that they burn up some of that tired (though recently rested) Twins pen heading into that epic road trip.

And here those pricks go. A ****ty Ball 4 call and then a not so good bunt but As panic. 1st and 2nd.

I think that I am objective but this ump has made three bad key ball strike calls against the As and its the 1st.

and the inevitable bloop. How soft was that?

It's "A's" not "As"

That thread title threw me off for a minute.

"Twins As Wed Game" just didn't make sense.

I know that! It's just typing shorthand you dick! Just like you leaving off the period, you pedant.

Anyone know if Liarno is on any type of pitch count? He used to be a horse before his injury but I'm sure that's changed. He's around 50 after two.

Liriano's thrown 48 pitches through 2. If the A's keep this up, he's not longed for this game.

One of things that drives me nuts about the Twins is that they can look bad inning after inning, but as soon as the opponent puts a run on the board, they come up and match it. I find that you're usually in good shape against them if you score a run and prevent them from scoring the following half-inning.

That being said, Big Frank needs to go deep. He is one of, if not the biggest Twin killer of his generation. Doesn't he have more homeruns than any other visiting player at the Dome or something?

He's been throwing around 100 since he's been back.

Unfortunately, these aren't the early 2000's A's, they just plain stink. Hopefully, today though they can squeak one out.

The A's have had three straight three-game series against first place teams. In each they won the first, beating the Rays to open a homestand, beating the Sox and beating the Twins on the first game of their roadtrip. Against the Rays and Sox they lost the next two games. The A's will probably be even weaker, though, when the Twins play in Oakland on their next roadtrip, as it looks like two of the A's starting pitchers will have to go on the disabled list. So far today, though, the A's seem to be playing well, although they are behind.

It's funny that I came in to post here after finding there was a game thread for the Twins, but none for the Sox.

No reason to get all crazy on us. It was causing confusion. By the way, that is not shorthand.

Twins lost Monday to this team. I'll take it.

Just hope they go on the road tomorrow, and have 5-9 road trip.

Street got out of a big mess. At least the A's are still in the game. I hope Bonser goes out there for one more inning.

That lineup makes the 2006 Sox look like the 27 Yankees.

Still 3-1 Minnesota in the 8th.

You know, I just looked at Frank's career stats. He says he wants to return to Oakland next year, and possibly one more year after that. He also says he won't want much money and that he's not playing for money.

Anyways, his career batting average has dipped to .301 . Another sub par year and that career average will dip below .300 which would be a shame for such a great player.

As long was we win our games, all will be good. If we can't win our games, we don't deserve baseball in October.

I would like for the Twins to keep winning, but remaining right behind us. This would knock the Red Sox out of the post season.

Peace on Earth=no Red Sox or Yankees in the post season!

So do the Twins finally go on the road or is that just a myth?
