Yes, every time I get irritated about a loss this year, I just remember that by this time last year there was not hope at all and we all had given up.

Being tied for first place is infinitely better than not controlling your destiny because you're 15 games under .500, and you've got Erstad batting second, Josh Fields in left and Andy Gonzalez and Alex Cintron in the lineup.

I was in CLE today and saw Andy playing 1B for the Tribe. I like him better in their uniform than ours, that's for sure.

It does feel good to know that the season was not over a week after Buerhle's no-no like last year. But if they do not make the playoffs, the season will officially end at the same time as 2007.

Not only was it a miserable year win wise...but just the attitude and effort the last couple of months last year was embarrassing.

They may go through stretches of bad ball this year, but just try to remember what it was like a year ago.

Do I have to?

All I know is we got Gordon Beckham out of the deal, so it's ok.

That's the spirit. Now let's not ever mention the 2007 White Sox and especially that Twins DH ever again...:(:

The 2007 Sox were one of the worst teams I've ever seen play. In fact, the only team worse than that that I can think of was the 2006 Dusty Baker Cubs. There have been other teams with worse records, but I can't think of another team that had so much talent yet played so horribly. While there was a lot of garbage on that '07 squad, we still had JD, Paulie, Thome, AJ, Buehrle, Jenks, Garland, Contreras, and Javy.

Good observation. And you'd have thought that with the players we had, it would never come to that. The whole season just seemed like one big slump.

I'm still amazed at how much better this team is from last years version. I wasn't expecting a race like this with the twins at all, but I'm glad we are back into contention!:bandance:

The Luis Terrero-Bret Prinz-Ryan Bukvich-Andy Gonzalez era, we hardly knew ye, thankfully.
