The Ms have tied it up off of Liriano. Buscher made an error that allowed two runs in the 4th.

2-2 as we go to to the bottom of the 4th.

One thing I've noticed about Liriano is that he throws a lot of balls. His strike/ball ratio is near one, or at least, it is today.

2-2 in the 4th on a big :smile:two out two run error by Buscher! Liriano struggling to find the plate.

But my expectations are not high for this series :(:

Nope. Sox face Hernandez.

And guess what? The Twins face Seattle on Aug 25-26-27, so they'll face the same three starters they're facing this weekend, since the Mariners don't have a day off until after that series.

That sucks, but they do face angels on the road for 4 next weekend. Which should be good

The Tigers are the main threat to the Sox in the division.

Seattle with a six-spot in the sixth to erase a 5-0 Twins lead. Hold it now dammit!

Still 6-5 in the eighth. One run isn't enough, Mariners!

What is Miguel Batista doing pitching in the 9th? Are they trying to lose this game? Bases loaded, one out, for Brian Buscher.

The Twins are clearly invincible.Only in that ****ing dome. Their 14 game road trip will kill them.

Lets hope that the 14 game road trip does kill them. The Sox just have to take care of business on their end. That includes winning the last three games against the Twins at the end of September.

Not that big a deal, as of today they're better than us on the road so it's nice that our win came on the road, you expect them to win at home

Great start for thr Seattle rookie hurler.

3-0 Twins in the first with two in scoring position still. I guess I'm not surprised.

Hope the Mariners look this good starting tomorrow. Of course we face their only decent starter Tuesday.

Well, they DID blow the 5-0 lead yesterday. Of course, they still won.

In better news, Boston is down 8-0. Never hurts to look at the Wild Card standings...

The Twins will get Ducsherer though and we missed him, so that evens out.

Just take care of business today, and it's another home date gone for them and road date gone for us. Advantage US.

Those 7 games with the A's and 4 more with Seattle really work out well for the Twins late in the season. Seattle is about equally bad at home and on the road and the A's have traded much talent away.

Sox must match the twins vs the A's and Mariners these series this week.

Nathan in the game. Forget about it. Swisher's homer was the last run he allowed.

My god is the MN bullpen horrible, when 6-10 runs consistently isn't enough to win a ballgame there are problems.

RockJock07

Twins win, the M's had the bases loaded with Ichiro up and he grounds to first. Yeah, the Twins bullpen is not good, he's to hoping they tank on this roadtrip.

The more they're used in these kind of games, the more vulnerable they will become later in the season.
