If there was any doubt as to why many of us here at WSI are somewhat vocal about our loathing of the sCrUBs, let this serve as Exhibit A:

And it gets even better... if you go to the site you can share your story for (drumroll please) VOLUME 2 ???!!!???!!!

All together now: :puking:

I still hate this win or lose we come out to the park 40,000 crap. When the team hadn't made a postseason in ages, Wrigley was pretty empty for good parts of the 70's and 80's. If this team finished under .500 for 3-4 straight seasons, maybe attendance effects wouldn't be immediate but they wouldn't be selling out every game.

Meh. Why should it "upset" Sox fans? Nobody is being forced to buy the book or read it. If people want to spend their money on it, so be it.

An enterprising White Sox fan could do the same thing.

for what it's worth, the photographer does have photos of US Cellular, back from when it still had blue seats.

Loom at the promo for the book signing on the home page:

"August 15th there will be a book release bash at Harry Caray's Wrigleyville from 7:30 to 10pm - Come in for an all you can drink package, prize giveaways and more!"

He knows how to sell to Cub fans!!!

I love how when the website comes up, there's a slideshow / loop, and the very first picture is a group of fratboys and trixies posing and preening, and the last picture is, of course, Ronnie Woo Woo. Again, the stereotypes about Cubs fans are not stereotypes if they're true.

Indeed, and a hex upon them as no fan of the Chicago White Sox team would be swayed by such a thing were it a We Are Sox Fans release party at Schaller's with an open bar. Not a one. Because Sox fans rarely drink, and never to excess. Shame on those heathen supporters of the North Side squadron and their sinful embrace of the Demon Alcohol.

Ummmm who cares?

Why does it matter? You are not buying it.

Exactly. This gentleman was enterprising enough to put together a collection of his photographs and a website on which to hock it. Given the fervor of Cub fans this year, he's timed the market pretty well.
