That is Jamie Navarro. He was OK with the Brewers and the Sox gave him a huge deal. He spent most of the money on Golden Corral and was just awful.

When Jose started to fall apart in June, I personally wanted Halladay or at the very least AJ Burnett; too bad Toronto decided not to entertain offers for either.
Now it's down to Richard VS. Broadway. Richard has shown a better fastball, but his control & off-speed stuff disappeared when he needed them the most, so that opened the door for Broadway to come in and (hopefully) Brandon McCarthy his way to glory.

Everything's funny after a win, but this really made me laugh.

Richard was very disappointing in his 3 starts

Let's see how Lance works out before we move Carrasco around; he's been a godsend in the bullpen and I'd really like to exhaust all other options before we're forced to play that hand.

I noticed that the Charlotte Knights started Derek Rodriguez last night.
He had been relieving, so perhaps they are trying to get him stretched out, as another option.

I have a bad feeling that Broadway may fall into the group of AAAA starters who aren't quite ready for the big show yet. I hope he proves me wrong tonight; I don't want to have to see any long relief.
I see he did pick up a victory last year against the Royals. Maybe we'll see some deja vu tonight.

Glad to see Sox fans are going to give him 1 whole start to prove himself. I was worried he'd be written off if he didn't strike out the side in the 1st on 9 pitches. Good to be generous...

BA wishes he was as amazing as Erstad. Darrin takes the mound and the other team disintegrates. Literally. They turn right to dust.
