I like Broadway starting over Carrasco. Carrasco is doing well in his role, and he'll be ready to come in if Broadway gets in trouble.

I also like keeping Carrasco in the pen, as either a long guy or solid seventh inning presence. He's been good in the pen and a steadying influence. I wouldn't worry about only the fifth starter slot. You don't mess up the pen for the other four starting slots and keeping DJ there for now is the right move.

If Broadway can give a good five or six innings (there's always hope), the pen can take care of the last three or four innings and the team is far better off in that scenario.

Lance's Nickname: Showtime

If he guarantees victory, we could call him "Broadway Lance"

I was talking to my friend last night and we thought Showtime would be a good nickname

I see a higher ceiling with Broadway starting. If he is on, Broadway could bo longer than Carrasco, who may be a five-inning pitcher at best. If Carrasco doesn't pitch Wednesdy night, he is available for long relief if things go bad with Broadway. And Carrasco is better suited for such work that Broadway would be to relieve Carrasco.

I'm not surprised with the decision. I wish Broadway luck.
