And that was my nephew, Michael Bowden, who started for the PawSox, going 6 innings, giving up 2 runs (only 1 earned, on a HR) while striking out 6 and walking only 1. All he gets is another ND. :(:

Silverio played second tonight.

Edit: Nevermind, he must have moved to 2nd for some reason during the game.

I know he's young and we have to be patient with him, but his stats are proving that he might need a little bit more time than a lot of us had anticipated.

If he is 16, then, yes, it will take some time. For a 16yo, he is doing well. Give him 3 or 4 years.

Brent Morel has been impressive - moved to Kanny very quickly and hitting decent for average. No power - but .287/.339 is a nice start for the kid.

He did not have much power in college either. He only had 8 homers in 239 ABs this year, his junior year.

I wonder if the Sox were thinking that they wanted to get a guy who made contact and who had some natural hitting ability, and that he would develop power as he matured. He hit .368 in college this year, after hitting .333 his sophomore year. We'll see how he develops.

I know it isn't sexy, but Bill Mueller (pre-juice) type numbers might be a target? .290/.370/.410
