Don't like to revel because of injuries, but that's a huge blow to the Twins, and right now I'll take any break we can get.

We just took a bigger one, so I don't feel sorry one bit.

I do hope he gets better soon, like right after the last twins game.

Aw, he could come back after the Twins are eliminated from the play-offs... I'm nice like that. :giverose:

They were going to have to do something with Span if he came back . Now thats not an issue.

Well it's not like Darnell Span has been killing the Twins in right since Cuddyer went down. Twins are in to till the end with or without Cuddyer.

big deal, the guy is a .250 hitter with 3 home runs, Span is better

It's not much of a loss for them. Actually, it hurts us if it would've forced Span to the bench and Cuddyer moved back into a starting role.

Nice limited sample size.

I'd say they could use his pop more than another scrappy guy in Span. They have plenty of those.

+1.

Cuddyer is a hell of a ballplayer who has ran into some bad luck this year.

Cuddyer >>> Span.

I wouldn't call an .860+ OPS scrappy. And he plays phenomenal defense too. And they don't have plenty of those players.

This is going to be a war of attrition between the Twins and Sox. The sox cannot bear any more injuries and linebrink has to come back.
Cuddyer seemed to hurt the sox quite a bit but Span has also. Push.
Now, the Sox need to find a .500 type pitcher to plug Jose's hole.

You rushing to the Twins' defense? There's a shocker.

Yeah, 'cause I'm always championing the cause for the Twins.

Cuddyer had a really nice 2006, but he's also had two seasons, in which, he hit more than 12 homers in a Twins uniform. Span has been tearing it up for them this season and plays great defense. I'd rather the Twins were playing Cuddyer and Span riding the pine. :dunno:

You're right, I'd call it lucky because he's never touched those numbers in his career. It's not uncommon for the Twins to have a player come out of nowhere and just play extremely awesome for a very short period of time. Remember Lew Ford a few years ago? Where's he at again?

I'd actually prefer it if the Twins got Cuddyer back. I'd rather see him in the Minnesota lineup than Span or Gomez.

Guardy was going to keep Span in the line-up anyway per rotoworld. I only know this because I picked up Span on my fantasy team for a couple of days last week.
